Confidence to Start Your Day {Week 4, Day 4}

October 8, 2020
“40 Days” by Proverbs 31 Ministries | P31 OBS Study

Hi again!

It’s Angela, the same gal from last Tuesday with an updated photograph. I’ve made some great friends being a part of P31 OBS over the years. I hope you’re stepping out and connecting too.

I want to mention something Joel Muddamalle wrote on Week 4, Day 3 of The Answers to Your Deepest Longings. It was a hand-to-the-forehead type moment.

“How does the faithfulness of God give you the confidence to start your day?” (p. 90)

If I could just remember this one sentence every morning right when I wake up ... Maybe I’ll post this on my bathroom mirror:

“Angela, remember God is faithful every day and in every way!”

Confession. I’m a recovering control freak and a work in progress. I came to realize at the root of my control issues I was not trusting God. Ugh! I thought I was. Said I was. But really I wasn’t. It made me think, “If I trust Him to rescue me from my problems, why don’t I trust Him before I start things in my own way?” Again, hand to my forehead!

Trust wasn’t always natural to me. But I’m learning and experiencing in my relationship with Him that God really is always faithful. Just like it says in 1 Corinthians 1:9 (NLT).

“God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into a partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Our readings for today are:

I’m so thankful for His faithfulness!

Angela

Let’s Chat!

Speaking of being thankful for God's faithfulness, I thought we’d do what Psalm 100:4 says and take a “thank break.” Let's share our testimony of His faithfulness. It could be what someone else needs to start their day with confidence.
