Hi there! I’m Alicia Hunter, your study leader for this week. I’m glad to spend this time with you.

I’m one of those people who puts pressure on herself to do all things perfectly. I prepare and organize, set goals, and check things off lists. Do you know anyone like me? Do you feel pressure to make everything perfect?

I try so hard to put all of life’s pieces in order. Honestly, lots of times, things go right. But then it happens again — a big fat failure. One part of life slips out of place and, all of a sudden, everything seems to fall apart. Including me. I feel defeated and completely useless and end up questioning everything I thought I knew to be true.

Thankfully, God doesn’t leave us alone in those thoughts. He doesn’t define us by what we see as our failures; rather, He abides with us to show us our potential.

This Week’s Topic:
As we dig into our first “F” of the study, failure, we will learn that no matter how many times we fail, we are still useful to God. In fact, we will see there is great value in failure ... when we allow God to reshape and teach us.

We are valuable to God! Maybe you look at your life and see mistakes, messes and failures. But, like our verse this week reminds, when God looks at you, He sees the great masterpiece He created.

"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well" (Psalm 139:14).
