A Way in the Wilderness {Week 6}

July 27, 2020

Hey there! It’s Stacy again, back to walk side by side with you through our final week of study.

So far, we’ve taken a good hard look at ourselves and confronted our failures, fears, frailties and faults head-on. I know the work has been difficult, and I applaud you for sticking with it.

It can feel overwhelming, though, can’t it? Seeing all those things stacked in the negative column of our lives? But there is a purpose to it all and a path forward for each of us to take. With that in mind, it’s time to shift the conversation from who we’ve been and who we are to who we can become.

This Week’s Topic:
Are you still breathing? Great! That means God isn’t finished with you yet! In fact, He has a part in His story specially designed just for you. This brings us to one final F for this study — the Future.

Don’t let all the hard work of the past month go to waste by stopping now. Let’s charge ahead to see how God can use even the worst of who we are to propel us into what comes next!

Verse of the Week:
Sometimes it’s hard to see what God is up to, but that doesn’t mean He’s sitting idly by. In fact, He’s always at work, making a way for His children to accomplish His plans in the world. As God says in our verse this week:

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19 (NIV)

Weekly OBS Video:
While we may sometimes wonder about our usefulness to God, that’s something He never questions. He sees the bigger picture, just as He did with Moses, David, Paul and others. So what does that mean for us? Let’s listen in on today’s discussion with Kendra and Wendy to find out!

Here are instructions to access closed captioning AND the video transcripts.

Study at a Glance:

In today’s video, Wendy reminds us, “We don’t have to see our potential; we just have to believe in the God who does.” What encouragement does this give you to move forward into your future?
