Hi everyone!
Who else is excited to dive into Psalm 23: The Shepherd with Me? I’m Anna Currin, one of your study leaders, and I’m looking forward to walking through these next six weeks together as we learn more about the depth of God’s love and compassion for us.
I can’t think of a better way to kick off Day 1 than hearing from Jennifer Rothschild herself! In today's video, she is joining P31 OBS Manager Kendra Schwarz and sharing her heart on why she chose to write this study. Who knows, we may even learn some other fun facts like how she likes her coffee!
Need instructions to access closed captioning or the video transcript? We’ve got you covered!
For those interested, here’s where you can get the “safe” necklace and declaration cards referenced in the video.
As we get rolling, here are a few more important things for you to know about...
Weekly Memory Verse:
Over the next six weeks, we’ll take a deeper look at each verse of Psalm 23. This week our focus is verse 1: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Through studying this verse, we’ll learn what it means to really lean on our Shepherd, and what that looks like in our own lives.
While studying, we also have a challenge for you! We thought it’d be awesome if we all commit to memorizing each weekly verse. That way, by the end of the study, we’ll have all of Psalm 23 etched in our minds and hearts! We even had a Psalm 23 bookmark designed just for you, to help with memorization!
