Hey y’all! Welcome to Week 2 of Psalm 23: The Shepherd with Me. I’m Brandy Patton, your study leader this week.
I have to say this: I’m already proud of you. Whether you were here last week or you’re just joining us today, you showed up. High five! Showing up to study is our way of telling God our Shepherd we’re ready to hear from Him.
And what will we be studying in relation to our Shepherd this week? Rest! Not the “I’m on vacay away from home” type of rest, but the “although my life is crazy busy I’m not going crazy” kind of rest. That kind of rest requires two things:
Author Jennifer Rothschild and P31 OBS Manager Kendra Schwarz chat about how these two things relate to rest in this week’s video. Let’s watch!
Here are instructions to access closed captioning or the video transcript, if you need them!
Did you catch what Jennifer says in the video about how we don’t wander our way into finding what we need, but need God to lead us? Phew! That’s powerful, right?
Before we dig into our study books, let’s talk about your study resources for this week.
Weekly Memory Verse:
This week we’re studying Psalm 23:2, “He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.” Remember Anna's challenge from last week to memorize the first verse of Psalm 23? This week, let's commit to memorizing the second. I know you can do it! Why? It has fewer words and more power than your favorite song! Think about it!

WEEK AT A GLANCE
Okay, OBSers, I think we’re ready for Week 2! Yay!
Have a great study week!

Reflect and Respond:
What does “rest” currently look like in your life? Would you describe your rest as Psalm 23:2 describes rest?
