There’s No Place Like Home {Week 6}

October 7, 2019

Happy Monday, and welcome to our last week together in our Psalm 23 study! Whether you have just joined us, or you have journeyed the whole path with us, I want you to know how much I’ve enjoyed this time with you. I hate to see it come to an end!

Week at a Glance:
Ladies, let’s jump right in with our Week 6, Week at a Glance resource! You will find the suggested study schedule, information for this week’s giveaway, and tips for memorizing the last bit of Psalm 23. I can’t believe it’s our last one for the study!

WEEK AT A GLANCE

Weekly Memory Verse:
Speaking of memorization, our verse this week is Psalm 23:6, which wraps up this psalm and nicely rounds out our experience with our Shepherd. “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.” What a comforting word for all of us who long for a place to call home. This week, we will learn we have a sure place in the house of God and what it means to dwell there.

Our final video with P31 OBS manager Kendra Schwarz and author Jennifer Rothschild is full of rich and powerful insights into the 23rd Psalm such as how the names of God are woven into every verse. You’ll even get a basic psychology lesson!

I love that after our Shepherd leads us, provides us rest, feeds and covers us, He then prepares a place for us and brings us home. As we head into this week’s study, let’s ponder what “home” means to us in light of being there with our Shepherd.
