Forever and Ever

"God is forever with you and for you." - Jennifer Rothschild #Psalm23Study | Proverbs 31 Online Bible Studies Week 6 #P31OBS

Hey, ladies!

We’ve learned a lot in our six weeks together. We’ve talked about:

  • Relationship - the Lord is our Shepherd.
  • Provision - He supplies our needs.
  • Guidance - He leads us to peaceful pastures and still waters.
  • Restoration - He connects us to Him and shows us what’s right.
  • Comfort - He protects us and keeps us safe.
  • Anointing - He calls us by name and we are His beloved.
  • Blessing - His goodness and mercy chase us daily.
  • Preparation - We have a forever home to dwell in with our Shepherd.

Each day of discovery on this journey has led us here, to the end of our study, and as I reflect on all we’ve learned, one word rings loud and true for me on this last day of our study: forever.

Forever is a long time, isn’t it? Our minds can’t fully comprehend an endless amount of time because everything in our reality has a season — a beginning and an end — by which we are limited. One day, time as we know it will cease and forever will begin. Until then, we have the promise of our Shepherd to be with us on the journey. Jennifer Rothschild's words this week, in Day 3 of Psalm 23: The Shepherd with Me, affirm this:

“God is forever with you and for you.”

Sisters, when you repeat the last verse of Psalm 23 (by memory, yay!), I hope you stop and savor forever. I pray you are now fully confident as sheep — that you bask in the love of your Shepherd, and that eternity feels a little closer.

Reflect and Respond:

Now that our study is complete, do you have a different perspective on Psalm 23 than you did before? How has learning about your identity as sheep and your relationship to the Shepherd challenged you, yet strengthened your hope?
