The Start of Something New

January 2, 2020

Happy New Year!

I don’t know about you, but when the clock turns from 11:59 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., something turns inside of me. It’s the feeling of something new. Something exciting. Something about to begin.

We get a new beginning in 2020, and we at Proverbs 31 Online Bible Studies are excited to begin something new with you as we study Trustworthy: Overcoming Our Greatest Struggles to Trust God by Lysa TerKeurst.

And to set our minds on what’s to come, here are some promises of the new we have in Christ:

“The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23

“And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” Ezekiel 36:26

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” 2 Corinthians 5:17

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:18-19

He is doing a new thing, friends. As we wait for our study to begin, let’s hold onto the promises that God is doing something new in and through us.

I can’t wait to do this whole “new” thing with you.
