Happy Friday, ladies! I’m Nancy Voyles, and I’m excited to wrap up Week 3 with you!
“Trust me.”
That alone can be a scary phrase. Imagine hearing it audibly in the middle of the night though. That’s what happened to me.
I was going through a divorce, had a small child and had recently started over halfway across the country. Scary!
But I had everything “handled.” I knew what needed to happen and was taking control to ensure it did.
See where this is headed?
I thought I knew what was coming. I thought I had it under control. I thought I knew what was best. HA!
God had bigger plans for me because He knew what was coming. He knew He had it under control. He knew what was best.
On Day 2 this week, Lysa reminded us:
“God has a plan with a bigger vision in mind.”
I couldn’t see past the unknowns that were right in front of me: child support, custody agreements, etc. But after some internal wrestling, I took the leap in this weeks theme — to trust who and what I knew God to be, rather than what I could see. It hasn’t always been easy, but it has always turned out for my best.
Is there somewhere in your life you could use a “trust me” encounter? Remember, while we don’t always know His plans, we can always trust Him.
Here’s to taking a leap together,
Nancy
Reflect and Respond:
Is there a situation in your life where you need to trust God, rather than what you see? What's something you've learned this week that will help you take that leap?
For Your Weekend:
In the Session 4 Trustworthy video, Lysa gives a peek into the victory that is coming and how it can help us navigate the wins and losses of life. The video is just under 20 minutes. Note-taking is on page 122. (Special thanks to LifeWay Publishers for making this available to us for FREE during our study. Please note: this video was only available on our blog through March 6. If you wish, you can purchase the videos here.)
