Know. Believe. Speak. {Week 3, Day 2}

“40 Days” by Proverbs 31 Ministries | P31 OBS Study

Hey there!

My name is Angela Diemer (sounds like DEE-mer). I’m a contributing writer, and I’m so happy I get to join you today. I love seeing the encouragement you’re writing to one another in the Let’s Chat section. It’s one of the reasons I treasure this community!

I know we just met and all, but transparency is important to me, so I’m jumping right in with ya. When I started reading Week 3, Day 2 in the Study Guide, Satan tried to remind me of my past sins, playing them like a highlight reel over and over in my mind. I had to quickly hit the stop button and reject his attempt to shame and discourage me.

So when I saw John 10:10 in bold on page 61, it was the perfect reminder of truth I needed in that moment. Here it is in the NKJV. I like looking up different translations. Don’t you?

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

God forgives. He gives life, hope and a security that nothing and no one can take away! His Word is what I need to know, believe and speak.

As you spend time with God this week, I pray you’ll experience His love in a new way. He isn’t pointing His finger to shame you. His love and forgiveness are there to free you.

Before I say good-bye, here are our readings for today:

  • Week 3, Day 2
  • Judges 2
    Please note: In today’s email we listed Joshua 2 as today’s reading. We recommend reading Judges 2 instead. But if you have extra time, go ahead and read Joshua 2. It's a good one!

Until next time I’m with ya!

Angela

How does John 10:10 help you identify some of the tactics Satan may be trying to distract you with? What thoughts do you need to hit the stop button on and speak the truth about instead?
