Hello! It’s so great to be in a Bible study with you! I’m Melissa Taylor and I’ll be helping kick off each week as we dive into 5 Habits of a Woman Who Doesn’t Quit by Nicki Koziarz.
We’ve worked extra hard to bring you a weekly kickoff video that’ll inform and entertain. Not only do we have news you can use for this study, but let me tell you … we have this too:
- The Quit Coach: just wait ‘til you meet her. She looks so familiar.
- Real Life Happenings from the Fixer-Upper Farm: hilarious real life reenactments from Nicki’s life.
- Farm Animals: goats, pigs and a blind chicken. Yes, all this.
- HERMAN: the slightly famous pug!
So, without further ado, check out this week’s video from the Fixer-Upper Farm!
OK, so what did you think? Pretty crazy, huh?
Each week, we’ll provide you with guidance as you go through the study. One of the best tools we have to help with this is the Weekly Lowdown. In the lowdown, you’ll find your chapter assignments for the week, the Verse of the Week, a suggested study plan and our P31 OBS Journal! And if you’re waiting on your book to arrive, we’ve included a download of the first three chapters in here too!
Weekly Lowdown
Do you know you have the most caring and devoted leaders in the world taking you through this study? They don’t consider themselves above you; they consider themselves in this with you. They are the real deal! I seriously love these ladies more than I can say. I love their heart for Jesus and how they love EVERYONE. Clap for the ladies leading you this week are me, Nichole Stern and Katrina Wylie.
So, what do you say? Shall we get started? Let’s do this!
Reflect and Respond:
Observe — After watching the video, what’s your favorite part?
Bible — In the video, we shared the NIV version of Luke 16:10. In the lowdown we shared the HCSB version. I love to read different versions of the same verse because it makes me think big. We see the words “faith” and “trust” being interchangeable here. How do you think faith and trust are alike?
Stretch — After listening to your Quit Coach in today’s video, what’s one goal you can set to help set you up for success in Week 1?
