Happy Friday, friends! It’s Alicia, back with you to finish the week.

Earlier this week, we talked about the strength and comfort that comes when God turns our chaos into peace. We learned how He uses our struggles to accomplish His will and how, when we feel shaky and insecure, we can be confident that He is in control and He will hold it all together. We simply have to invite Him in.

How well do you do with inviting Jesus into your Christmas season? Perhaps, like me, you can get busy and distracted, missing opportunities to welcome Him (just like the innkeeper who missed the opportunity OF A LIFETIME that first Christmas). If so, don't miss this next part because it's so very good!

In Revelation 3:20 (NCV), Jesus says:

"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come and eat with you, and you will eat with me."

God knows us and the distracted world in which we live. He knows how to get our attention. He wants to be with us, so He comes right up to our crowded, chaotic lives and keeps knocking ... until we let Him in. The question is, are we letting Him in?

In Chapter 5, Max Lucado helps us understand what His "knocking" looks like in our everyday lives. Jesus says, “Here I am” and knocks through:

• Scripture
• Sermons
• Kind words from a friend
• Christmas carols
• Sunsets

My friends, as we go through the holidays, when we see a sunset or hear cheery Christmas carols, let’s remember that this is God knocking, asking and waiting for us to invite Him into our Christmas season.
