Overcoming the Hustle and Bustle {Week 3}

November 25, 2019

Welcome back for Week 3! I’m Nancy Voyles, and I’m excited to lead you this week!

Confession … I binge watch The Food Network at Christmas time! It’s true. With holiday baking shows filling my airwaves, I’m transported to another world filled with perfectly baked and decorated Christmas cookies. I have been known to put everything else aside in the quest for making the most scrumptious Christmas cookies known to man.

I admit it; I have a problem. I need an intervention! Please tell me I am not alone.

Amid all the preparations and activities surrounding Christmas, I find myself asking: How do I manage the hustle and bustle of the season while still remembering the reason for the season? How do I keep my focus on Jesus, my Christmas gift from God Himself?

In this week’s video, Max talks with Melissa and Kendra about not missing the goodness of God this Christmas. Let’s watch!

Need instructions to access closed captioning AND the video transcripts? We’ve got you covered!

“Don’t let Christmas pass you by without realizing the significance of it.” What a great reminder from Max!

In fact, being intentional about noticing the goodness of God this Advent season is just what we will be focusing on this week. So now that we have whet our appetite, let’s take a look at the resources we have for you.

Memory Verse:
One way I stay focused on Jesus is by reading Scripture. This week’s verse is a good one! Seven days, seven words. Let’s memorize it together!

“The heavens declare the glory of God.” Psalm 19:1 NKJV
