Community: It Makes A Difference

Hello, Katrina Wylie here! I’m one of your leaders for our next study featuring Craig Groeschel’s book, Dangerous Prayers, starting April 6.

Confession! While waiting for the study to begin, I’ve already read the book THREE times. Not that you need to have read it yet; it’s just truly that good! Craig’s writing style makes for a quick and easy read, and who doesn’t love a quick, easy, GOOD read?

But here’s the thing. We don’t want to simply read the book and move on. We want to process the information and apply it to our lives to experience transformation.

Information + Application = Transformation

Well guess what? Today, Stacy Lowe (one of your other study leaders) and I are going to share a key to help you move from information to transformation during this study:

Community: it makes a difference.

Getting plugged into community can make a difference by providing:

  • Encouragement, accountability and prayers through leaders and fellow OBSers.
  • Opportunities to dig deeper and gain new perspectives.
  • A safe place to share, process and practice what you're learning.

And to be honest, our team here at P31 OBS thinks community is extra important right now. So, while your in-person gatherings may be cancelled due to COVID-19, P31 OBS community isn't cancelled.

Here’s Stacy to tell you more ...

Thanks, Katrina, and hey, y’all! I’m excited to share with you how our communities here at P31 OBS really do make a difference!

Your first community option is our blog comment section. It’s open to everyone! Because there's a new blog post every Monday, Wednesday and Friday (during the study), there's a new community opportunity three times a week! In each blog, you’ll find a question to get the discussion started. Simply share your answer, then read and reply to other comments as well. Your study leaders and a whole team of blog community volunteers are waiting to connect!

Your next option is our Facebook Community Group. Open to any woman 18 years or older, here you’ll have the chance to process together with others in a large group setting. This group includes trained leaders who are ready to engage and help hold your feet to the fire. It’s a great place to dig in deeper each day of the study and find new perspectives from women all over the world!

JOIN THE FACEBOOK COMMUNITY GROUP

Another option to consider is our Facebook small groups. These private groups will not only give you opportunities to discuss and go deeper, but you’ll also have the chance to share life in a more intimate setting of 18-20 women, plus a trained leader. They are open to any woman 18 years or older, but there’s limited space and they fill up quickly, so if you’re interested in joining one, don’t delay!

See, y’all? Community really DOES make a difference! Will you join us?
