Hi friends! I’m so glad you’re back for another week. Let me tell you, it’s time to push up our sleeves and get to work.

Maybe you’re like me. I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty. I’m willing to tackle any task set before me, even when it’s hard and seems like it will never end. There’s something rewarding in seeing a job come to completion, whether it’s a 1,000-piece puzzle or a project at work. I like to finish what I start.

You know what? Our Heavenly Father is the same way. Philippians 1:6 tells us He began a good work in us, shaping us to be like Jesus, and He won’t stop until He finishes.

Dangerous Prayer:

This week, we learn to pray “break me.” If we want God to mold us, make us and increase our faith, we have to face difficult times that stretch us and help us grow. As uncomfortable as being broken might initially sound, an intimate, life-changing encounter with God is waiting just on the other side.

Memory Verse:

Something that helps me memorize Scripture is creating pictures in my mind of keywords or phrases. Our memory verse this week is a great chance to put this into practice!

“And when [Jesus] had given thanks, he broke [the bread] and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” 1 Corinthians 11:24 (NIV)

Read that verse slowly and try to visualize the scene. Can you “see” Jesus giving thanks as He breaks the bread? That’s a beautiful picture in my mind; how about yours?
