The Worst Time To Communicate a Boundary (Session 3)

February 8, 2023

Is it just me, or is hearing from Lysa’s counselor Jim Cress invaluable during this study? His Wednesday videos and notes at the end of each chapter are so helpful!

This week I appreciated reading about what I can do if my limbic system gets triggered during tough conversations. That’s on Pages 77 and 78. And in today’s session, he’ll give more practical tips. We’ll learn how to have a conversation with someone about a boundary. Yup, he’ll even cover what to say, how to say it and when to say it.

I’m so glad he shared these tips. Sometimes overwhelm and anger color my words when I’m having a tough conversation. Knowing what I could say without shutting down or sounding mean will really help me. On that note, I need to pause here and go write in my journal. I definitely have some points I want to remember!
