I have to tell you, when I read the title of this week’s conversation with Jim Cress, “The Benefits of Looking at Your Past,” I was a bit nervous. I could feel the anxiety creeping up inside of me. I was tempted to cancel my counseling appointment! Then I remembered how much I’ve learned from Jim these last few weeks, and I clicked the watch button before I gave myself a chance to back out! {smiley face}
I hope you’ll do the same right now.
I’m so glad I kept my appointment this week! Here’s what I’m hanging on to from our session with Jim. It was so powerful that I needed to capture it in my journal:
Receive: Don’t be afraid to look back! God is always with me. He will even go with me when I revisit my past. Wow! I had never considered that. Jim says, “Deal with the past; don’t dwell in it.” I can do that when I ask God to revisit the past with me.
Whenever I need to revisit the younger version of me, I'm going to hold on to what I learned today.
I’m praying that you are as well,
Alicia

If you could go back to a younger version of you, maybe even a time when you made a few mistakes, what would you say to yourself?
