What Hurts Us Will Not Be Our Full Story

February 27, 2023

I am so excited! We have made it to Week 6!

Before we jump into today, I want to take a moment to celebrate you hanging in there! We’ve worked hard each week to develop a strong foundation for our relationships to grow and be healthier. You’ve been trusting in God and applying what He has called you to do in this healing process! And that's huge, my friend!

As we read through Chapter 12 and the conclusion this week, we’ll press forward by:

  • Moving through the grief of our hurts and losses.
  • Experiencing God through every season.

And we’ll end our time together by:

  • Holding fast through God’s Word.

If you peeked inside my book, though you’d see Post-it notes and highlights on almost every single page, I think this is going to be one of my favorite weeks of our study! The words of the chapters this week hold so much hope and promise for moving forward. They remind me that my past, my pain, don’t define me! God is not finished writing my story, and He is not finished writing your story either! An idea on Page 216 captures this exactly:

“What hurts us will not be our full story.”

I love this so much that I went back and wrote it on the top of every page of my journal as a reminder!

As we begin this last week together, I’m praying you find as much promise and hope as I am!
