Onto the Second Half! {Week 4}

July 8, 2019

Hi there, friends! Stacy Lowe back with you to kick off Week 4.

As of today, we’re officially into the second half of our study! If you’re reading this, then you’re still with us. While that may not SEEM like a big deal, it is. Let me tell you why.

The beginning of a study is when everyone is most gung-ho and ready to go. But THEN … real life sets in. You get busy. And if you’re not careful, next thing you know, weeks have gone by.

But you’re HERE. And you’re reading this NOW.

Even if clicking on this post was nothing more than a happy fluke, there must be a reason for it. So jump on in where we are (Chapters 6 and 7 this week), and see what God has in store for you! Perhaps He’s brought you back for this week’s tough, but necessary discussion.

Your Study Resources & Memory Verse:

Forgiveness. Sometimes it comes easy. Other times, it feels downright impossible. After all, some people don’t deserve to be forgiven, right? While that may be how we feel, there’s more to this story we need to consider. Kendra and Wendy are here to talk about just that (and more!) in our Week 4 video. Check it out!

Need instructions for accessing closed captioning or the video transcript? We’ve got you covered!

As we get started this week, check out our Week at a Glance and plan out these next few days of study. While you’re there, be sure to check out all the information on this week’s giveaway, our next verse memorization tip, and more!

Then Wednesday will be our next Bible Study Companion. This dig-in-deep opportunity will come straight to your inbox AND be on the blog that day.

And finally, we have for you this week’s memory verse:

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT)

We’ve made it this far! Now let’s give it all we have for the second half of our study.

I can’t wait to see what God will do!
Stacy

Reflect and Respond:

What is something you can do to help you be INTENTIONAL about sticking with the study these last three weeks? I’m going to make the study a part of my early morning routine so I don’t get busy and forget later. Share your own ideas below, then offer up some encouragement to at least one other OBSer. Remember, we’re better together! AND each comment will give you another chance at this week’s giveaway!
