Hi everyone and welcome to the Keep Showing Up OBS! My name is Melissa Taylor and I’m here with Lisa Allen. We will be your co-hosts for this study!

Each Monday, Lisa and I will be kicking off the week with you. But before we get started, we want to ask a question and we need you to be honest.

Are you really excited about this study? A study for wives to work on their marriage?

We’ll go first: Honestly, no, not really. At least we weren’t at first. Read on please.

It’s not that we don’t need to work on our marriages. It’s not even that we don’t want to work on our marriages. But this is a little scary. Especially because, as the wives, we are the only ones involved in this. Our husbands aren’t doing this. We are.

But at the same time, we are excited to do this study. It’s an opportunity for us as wives to focus on our part in our marriages, without expecting anything from our husbands. Instead, we are doing this for an audience of One.

We recently spent some time in a bridal shop! Talk about a blast from the past! All those memories came flooding back from when we were picking out our own wedding gowns. While there, we gathered with some other married friends who are doing this study, including author Karen Ehman herself! And we got real honest y’all. Check out our first conversation here:
