Hi, there! Ready to wrap up Week 1? 

Here’s one truth I’ve learned from the study this week: Jesus fills me with peace as I get to know Him better.

This peace settles me despite all that begins to overwhelm me this season. A dear friend recently passed away. Family members wish I'd host a holiday dinner. Businesses claim to know what my kids need this Christmas. Even my healthy eating and spending goals feel harder to reach. 

Father, please help me make room for You this season. I want to marvel at Your birth so that it never becomes just another familiar story.

That’s been my prayer. And He answered and gave me peace.

The scriptures we're studying come alive as I reread them. My curiosity has led to more questions and a little more understanding. Each word, number and detail connect to other verses. How amazing to realize every word of the Bible is intentional and important. Learning these truths and focusing on Jesus is ultimately what can settle my heart (and yours!). Even in this season. Especially in this season.

So what about you? Have you taken a closer look at the scriptures this week? Have you prayed to grasp more of what He's said? If not, I encourage you to give it a try. 

A problem-free season isn’t possible. But peace in that same season is. In fact, He promises it.

“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!” (Isaiah 26:3, NLT).
