Dear friend,
As I worked through Pointing to the Promise this week, the same questions kept coming to mind over and over again: What is God speaking into me, and how will I respond?
Saying yes to the free gift of salvation through Jesus is the most crucial response we can ever give. (If you’ve never done that, we would love to tell you more about it; click here!) But that’s just the beginning. God has a plan for this world, and He invites us to be a part of it each and every day.
Think about that for a second.
The God of the universe, who doesn’t need us for anything, wants us to step onto His stage and play an active role in what He’s doing all around us. What an incredible truth to consider!
And while sometimes His invitation comes as an opportunity to serve or the chance to be kind (it all matters in His Kingdom, so never discount the small stuff), other times He invites us into something that seems out of reach. Something well beyond our own capacity to achieve.
When those moments come, will we be a Zechariah and respond with doubt (Luke 1:18)? Or will we be a Mary and say, “I am the Lord’s servant. May everything you have said about me come true” (Luke 1:38, NLT).
Our response matters, and I pray we choose well. That no matter what God may ask of or speak into us, we’ll respond with a resounding, Yes, Lord. May it be so!
Thank you for journeying with me this week.
Love and prayers,
Stacy
P.S. Next week, we’ll pause for catch-up week. Use this time to go back to anything you may have missed or simply to rest and prepare for what’s next. We’ll see you back on November 27!
Let’s Chat!
