Dear friend,
Every single promise God made to us was fulfilled in Jesus Christ, proving once and for all that God is faithful and can be trusted. What’s more, when we respond to the gift of Jesus, we can find hope and joy no matter the circumstances in which we find ourselves.
These truths from Weeks 1 through 5 can all be summed up in one final word from this week: love.
It was for love that God sent Jesus to earth (1 John 4:9-10).
It was for love that Jesus gave up His glory to be born a human (Philippians 2:6-7).
It was for love that He healed the crippled and the sick (Matthew 14:14).
It was for love that He fed the multitudes (Matthew 15:32-37).
It was for love that He raised a widow’s son back to life (Luke 7:11-15).
It was for love that He humbled Himself on the cross to pay for our sins (1 Peter 2:24).
It was for love that He saved us with His grace (Romans 5:20-21).
And it is for love that He is preparing a place for us right now and will one day come back for us so we can live with Him forever (John 14:1-3).
You see, everything pointing to Jesus is pointing to love because that’s what He is. He is love incarnate. This is what it’s always been and will forever be about.
It all comes down to love.
Merry Christmas, my friend, and thank you for studying with us. From all of us to you, it has truly been an honor.
Love,
Stacy
