Protection in the Pause

Wait and See

Hey there! Welcome to our LAST week of #WaitAndSee. I’ve loved walking through this study with you, and I hope you’ve learned some great nuggets of truth from Wendy Pope’s book. I know I have!

Speaking of great nuggets of truth, this week’s video is FULL of them! Check it out below:

Our Wait Coach for our last #WaitAndSee week, Mari Taylor, encourages us with these words from Chapter 9 of Wait and See:

“There’s protection in the pause. Whether it ended or not.”

It’s easy to want to give up on God when the wait seems like it will never end. I’ve been there. Honestly, I’m there right now. But even when the wait feels like it will last forever, as we learn in our verse of the week, we can trust God to take care of us.

“And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19 (NLT)

We have an awesome God and this reminder that He’ll take care of us and supply all our needs from His glorious riches just overwhelms my soul with gratefulness. I don’t know about you, but I can’t imagine anything better than God’s glorious riches. And I want to trust Him to supply all my needs. Will you join me?

And don’t forget to check out the Weekly Lowdown for all the information you’ll need to help you plan to finish strong.

Reflect and Respond:

Observe — After watching this week’s video, how has God protected you in the pause?
Bible — Our VOW, Philippians 4:19, promises God will supply all our needs. Take some time to reflect on the needs God continues to meet for you as you wait. What’s one of them you’re thankful for? Here’s one of mine: I shared in Week 1 that I’ve been waiting many years for children. During my wait, God has filled my life with lots of nieces and nephews, as well as given me several young women to mentor and counsel. While these aren’t my own children, I sure do love them like they are, and I’m so thankful for each of them.
Stretch — Writing our own ending to #WaitandSee in Chapter 10 has been a great way to personalize this study. Take a look back through yours. How has writing your own Chapter 10 helped you in your wait?
