Bearing Fruit for His Glory

Lord, when my mind is filled with negative thoughts, help me remember what is true: I have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). May my thoughts align with Your thoughts. Help me to put on Your humility and compassion toward myself and others. Remind me I have perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3). I trust that if my mind remains on You, You will help me remain in perfect peace. Even when chaos surrounds me, I know You are close to me because Your Spirit lives within me. I choose today to set my mind on things above (Colossians 3:2). What I fixate on will influence the way I see myself, others, and my circumstances. Today I choose to meditate on Your Word and trust that it is the best place for me to find comfort and rest. In Jesus’ name, amen.
“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” Isaiah 26:3 (ESV)
“When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward him, he said to Philip, ‘Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?’” John 6:5 (NIV)
“You rule over the surging sea; when its waves mount up, you still them.” Psalm 89:9 (NIV)
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NIV)
“O our God, will you not execute judgment on them? For we are powerless against this great horde that is coming against us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.” 2 Chronicles 20:12 (ESV)
“And the earth was a formless and desolate emptiness, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.” Genesis 1:2 (NASB)
Lord, I confess it is difficult for me to always trust in Your plan for my life. In my heart, I know Your plans are good, but that can be hard to believe when the reality of my circumstances doesn’t feel good. When my plans get turned inside out and upside down, I try to lean on my own understanding. Today I choose to trust in You and Your mighty and perfect ways, even when it seems scary. Help my unbelief, Lord Jesus! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
