A Mother’s Influence

God, I am desperately trying to keep everything together. I’m afraid if I don’t, I’ll be consumed by my pain, anger, and frustration. I just can’t catch a break. It feels like everything’s going wrong and everyone needs something from me, and I am overwhelmed and exhausted. Help me remember these truths in the midst of the chaos: Whatever I face today, You are with me. Wherever I fall short, You will meet me. However I feel today, You can handle it. I don’t have to keep it all together in the presence of my Savior. So I turn to You in the midst of my pain and sorrow. I am trusting You to take the weight of this burden and instead give me rest. I hand it all over to You today. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Lord, I have felt distant from You in this season. My to-do list feels never-ending, I’m struggling to keep my head above water, and You feel distant and out of reach. Because of my busy schedule, I feel frustrated and disconnected from You. Help me remember this simple and sweet reminder: No matter where I am today, You will be faithful to meet me there. Help me to take a deep breath, slow down, and just simply be with You. I am so thankful that even my busyness and my feelings of distance from You do not determine Your nearness to me. Please meet me wherever I am today. I want to walk with You in Your great love for me. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ name, amen.
